走的地方多了，发现有些地方的风俗很有特点。比如大连庄河流行一种属相灯，也叫面灯，是用豆面、玉米面加上色素捏出属相的样子。家里有几个属相，就做几个灯。豆面为骨，彩绘点睛，十二生肖跃然灯上。这是已传承300多年的非遗。每一盏属相灯都来自匠心手作，灯碗里点几滴蜡油，月亮圆了以后，关了电灯，一家人围坐在一起，把属于自己的属相灯点亮。这些灯要点一宿，一直点到正月十六。烛光跃动间，守望平安顺遂，家族绵延兴旺。据说这种习俗是明末清初流民闯关东时从山东带过来的，传承到现在，成了庄河一带独特的风俗。红彤彤的属相灯，是元宵节亮丽的风景。
